FRANKFURT, Germany — June 25, 2025 — Twiceme Technology, the digital safety standard for jobsites and adventures, today announced the availability of its innovative Immobility Alert feature as part of the Twiceme 2.0 platform update. The breakthrough safety technology addresses a critical gap in emergency response by automatically detecting when users may be incapacitated. If a user does not respond to a mobile alert, it triggers an emergency alert as the individual can’t answer for themselves.
Twiceme is redefining connected safety through innovative technology integrated into top outdoor and industrial personal protective equipment (PPE) brands by embedding near-field communication (NFC) chips into equipment and garments. The latest Immobility Alert feature brings value to professional and consumer users. Arborists, construction and utility workers, among other professionals who frequently work alone, can start their work confident that if they are alone on the job, they won’t be left alone if an incident occurs. The same applies to consumers, like bikers, who may set off on the road or trail alone.

“The immobility Alert represents a significant advancement in connected safety technology that caters to the professional and adventurer Twiceme user. It offers a safety net for individuals in scenarios where they cannot call for help,” said Christian Connolly, CEO, Twiceme. “For industrial workers and outdoor enthusiasts who operate alone in potentially dangerous environments, it’s important to communicate your whereabouts, and the Immobility Alert provides assurance to users, friends, and coworkers knowing that if an incident occurs that leaves them incapacitated, emergency responders can still be notified.”

How the Immobility Alert Works
Users first create an alert within the Twiceme mobile app on their smartphone, choosing when an alert will be set based on the length of time during which a user does not respond. The intelligent feature continuously monitors user movement and activity using a smartphone’s GPS receiver. If a user is inactive and potentially immobile, and does not respond to the alert within the time set by the user, such as 30 seconds or one minute, Twiceme notifies the user and prompts them to verify their safety status within the app. If the user fails to respond, the system is designed to automatically alerts predefined emergency contacts, team members, or rescue services with the user’s exact location and critical medical information. The feature integrated seamlessly with existing features from Twiceme,
Twiceme’s Safety Feature Suite
The new Immobility feature builds upon the existing safety suite in the Twiceme app, designed to protect users before, during, and after incidents. The Medical ID feature enables users to store critical health information, including allergies, medical conditions, medications, and emergency contacts, which first responders can instantly access by hovering their smartphone over the Twiceme symbol on a user's equipment. The Rescue Alert function enables users to manually trigger emergency notifications when they recognize danger and are capable of acting, while location data helps responders reach them quickly.
For planned activities, Twiceme's Get Back Timer allows users to set expected return times for solo work or adventures, automatically alerting designated contacts if they don't check in as scheduled. The Friend Alert feature enables users to share their real-time location and status with trusted contacts during high-risk activities, providing an additional layer of safety through community awareness. These features, combined with the new Immobility Alert, create a safety net that adapts to various risk levels and emergency scenarios.
The Immobility Alert feature and redesigned Twiceme app are now available for download in the App Store for iOS and Google Play Store for Android devices. Twiceme will demonstrate the Immobility Alert and showcase the latest Twiceme-equipped cycling helmets at Eurobike 2025 in Frankfurt, Germany, from June 25 to June 29.
